We are registered to have 32 children in every session, however we reserve the right to reduce this for the benefit of the children in our setting. The current government guidelines state the adult to child ratio should be 1 adult to every 5 children for children under 3 years and 1 adult to every 8 children for children over 3 years. Our current adult to child ratio is 1:4 across all ages allowing for much closer bonds, teaching and developmental progress, a fact we are very proud of.
We feel that every child is a unique individual, with their own characteristics and temperament. All children are citizens and have rights and entitlements. Children should be treated fairly regardless of race, religion or abilities. This applies no matter;
- What they think or say
- What type of family they come from
- What language(s) they speak
- What their parents do
- Whether they are girls or boys
- Whether they have a disability
- Whatever their family’s financial circumstances
